With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda has won 47 international awards and continues to thrill sold-out audiences of all ages around the world.

Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher Miss Honey. During her first term at school, the two forge a bond as Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves to punish those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Moon and Birdboot, two drama critics, arrive to watch the performance of a new detective play, a parody of the conventional stage thriller. However the private lives of the critics become inextricably mixed with those of the play's characters until Moon is shot dead and the real Inspector Hound proves to be...?

In order to audition, please read the below packet carefully and bring ALL FORMS COMPLETED to auditions July 24th and 25th. PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE INFORMATION SHEET, MEASUREMENT FORM, AND CONFLICT SHEET.

Casting ages range from 16 years and up!
Auditions will be held at GTP headquarters 114 West Main Street, Collinsville, IL.
Auditions will be held on July 24th and 25th, with callbacks being held on Sunday July 26th.
Performers are asked to prepare a one minute long comedic monologue. Along with themonologue, we may have you do a cold read as well.
